Well guys, seems I missed the mark a bit on what % of new $ amount I thought "pre -owned"rc boats and related gear sells for. So,I revised some and have a couple of new ones listed that I left out.

Herzog black hurricane stock mono completely ready to run including fast tach, voltwatch, Brass Prop,...$750.00 OBO

1 ea very lightly used zipp SS pipe, header, flange.... $75 (this pipe screams with a G27 motor! )

This is a very minor repair requiring only a thin layer of epoxy with filler, sand, and paint an area of approx 2"....... but for $500 for all that is listed...........
And last>> one Airtronics M11X radio with 3-4 receivers. Can be sold with as many ( or few) receivers as buyer would want ... can sell the receivers separate.. $ make offer.

Hey guys, hope you all had a great time out there today, wished I could have been there, but wasn't in the cards.
Looks like not taking very good care of the old body in my earlier years has caught up with me and now have multiple health issues to deal with.In fact , dr's are gonna cut on one of the knees next Friday, the other will require replacement. Also got a blown disc in lower back & a couple more things still to contend with. So I think I am gonna put my stuff up for sale and dive into trying to fix some of these problems and see what happens. I really don't have much of a choice at this point.
First up is my** yellow/black aeromarine stock cat**. This lil boat is Very competitive,
and of the three hurts most to let go of, I guess cuz I won the stock cat shootout heat with it last October at the nats.( even in spite of me driving)
I haven't adjusted anything on it since that run so it is tweaked/peaked the same and has no bad habits. It will come with the racers edge SS prop that I've been running on it. I don't know who put the curse on my computer that won't let it up load pictures to the VooDoo site but I have tried several times with no success, so anyone wanting pics, just send me a e-mail or call and tell me where to send them & will be happy to take care of it. Also, about price.... I really would prefer to see my stuff go to our club members if at all possible, and, would like to see them have new homes fairly soon...soo am open to negotiating a deal !
asking $1200 for the cat including stainless steel prop and flex shaft.
** The black hurricane mono *** The hurricane can be sold one of two ways...Here is what I had intended to do with the mono to be able to run it in three different classes. I have a new CC "beast" motor That I have cranked and ran exactly three times.I put it on that ill fated whiplash and ran it twice at about half throttle for 4-5 laps, and the third time I ran it back and forth half to full speed for another 4-5 laps for break in.Every chance I had to watch an out of towner that came to our pond running a hurricane seemed to perform very well with a hotter motor... so since my hatch for that boat is at the bottom of our pond, I was going to buy another hatch for it($60) and run the offshore race with the beast in it, and of course run the g27 and stock mono races. I would be willing to make a very attractive deal for the boat and both motors.. buyer would have to buy the hatch in order to run in offshore race. OR of course can be sold with the stock motor in it and sell the beast seperate. The Beast engine has a new stainless steel Zipp exhaust pipe and flange with it and the boat will come with the stock engine prop and flex shaft setup. Anyone with serious interest in the mono with either option, please contact me and lets work out an agreeable price.
Also have a Zippkit "bullit" thunderboat completely built and painted with motor mounts, radio box, rudder,& strut brackets installed. I got this hull from a guy that had it set up electric and didn't have enough pond to accommodate the boat.
Rich did the "converting" to gas as well as installing most of the hardware. In a phone conversation I had with Mr Joe Petro (owner of zippkits). He flat out insisted over and over that the motor must be mounted as far forward as possible ... to the point that the motor touched the cowl.so...contrary to Rich's advice not to...I did... and it didn't perform as it should. So all that needs to be done is cut out four round plugs and glue / epoxy in the motor mount holes and move the motor back to the right distance. It is a very nice looking boat painted in a red , white and blue stripe scheme. It took a small dink on port side during. shipping that I covered with a decal. I'll take $200 for the boat and everything mounted in it. will send pics of it on request.
*** Whiplash prop *** Also have a new stainless steel Brent D whiplash prop I have mounted on a 30.5" flexshaft with prop dog, nut and shaft saver. only time I used it was the three times I ran the new beast engine to break it in. $85.00 for the prop, shaft, etc. ( 6719/3 554 15-5 )
And last..*** the infamous Bob Blazer built " Bluewater Special" Thunderboat.
OK... I am gonna go out on a limb here and go boldly where no man has gone before and come right out and say that I am 99.9999999% sure that I have found a way to adjust the business end of the bluewater special to the point that I don't think there is any other TB in the club that can keep up with it! It ran straight up 60mph when I got it... doing more than that now. Serious interest ? yes, can meet you at the pond and run it on a gps (have to pick a day I can walk )
*** one more item *** and truly the very last Item ( I think) is a Brass Brent D. racers edge 6518/3 410 $70
thanks so much for your time and consideration

CALLING ALL STOCKERS ...

Hi Guys,
As some but maybe not all of you know, around the flip of the year our "Pres" expressed a fairly intense desire to have our race course upgraded to an IMPBA approved "records" aka "lap trials" course. I think most all of us agreed with him and since I am retired and have some ties with an engineering firm in south BR, an offer to help gather some info was a good excuse for me to visit an old friend or two.
The first meeting was primarily to get an idea of hourly charges and familiarize GWS with the general scope of what we would need done. At this point I wasn't 100% sure of the exact scope, but had enough info to get close.
Results of the first meeting were;
Yes, GWS could certainly do what we would need done.
They would require the use of one or two of our boats.
Cost would be $800-$1000 inc travel time to/from GWS office to establish A "C" and "D" point in our pond. ( please ref. IMPBA sec. K, page 8 for all reference points.)

At this point all sounded ok but had a strong suspicion that a little more than just C&D would need to be verified to satisfy IMPBA. CC provided name and number of the records dept guy at IMPBA who indeed had all the answers. So here is bottom line as to what it will Take to satisfy IMPBA and exact cost to get us what we want.
IMPBA will require that our course has an established and verified by the engineering firm in writing an "A, B, C, & D point layed out as per page K8 "1/3 mile oval approved course layout" This makes perfectly good sense as the result of these four verified points would ensure that A&B (currently our #1 and #6 buoy) would be the required 330ft distance, and C&D would exist as a center line 330 ft PLUS
17 1/2ft at each turn for a total outside distance between buoy 2 & 5 of 365 ft.
WE.. as in our club would be responsible to provide IMPBA in writing, that we had verified (and by what method) the distances of C-A, C-2, C-3 and A-3 in turn 1 and also D-B,D-4,D-5,and B-4 in turn 2. All of these can easily be done with a 35 and 17 1/2 ft piece of rope.

Second meeting with GWS was to inform them as to the additional two points A-B
and get cost of that addition. Since no one that I could find in our club had knowledge if our A-B (1-6) was an accurate 330 ft GWS could only guess at the time required..so I negotiated a "not to exceed" cost for the additional two points. So.. total cost to us for all four points, verified in writing to IMPBA as to distances and methods is not to exceed $1200.00

Billing address of club (Jesse, I have your address, as treasurer I think we agreed we should use yours.

Legal description of the property at the location of the pond. ( Carlo, Jesse told me he may or may not have something on this,) do you ? If not , is likely that there may be a charge for digging it up at the courthouse although I got the feeling it wasn't that big a deal.If we don't have a legal plat description, I think the municipal address would suffice.

and last.... I would assume a member vote for a go ahead.

Pond Survey Status
emo
Carlo,
I spoke with a friend of mine this morning who works for GWS Engineering in Baton Rouge about survey of the pond. Since this type of work accounts for a big percentage of their total, they have a very competent survey team. Call me when you get time and I will pass on to you the next steps my friend suggested we do... then you or the officers or I can pursue this if you want.

Jess,
I had planned on Sunday to cut grass. I can also bring a pressure washer(2400psi)
If Rich can't make it with his mower because of his Mom's surgery, I can handle all the grass but you would need to find someone to man the pressure washer. Please advise if you need me to do something different.
