Thanks, Kevin for that video. Turbo Busa is as far as I am going to go. Looking for 8.40 to 8.80 at about 160. That was a Suzuki with a massive super charger that was about as big as his motor. He had to have some serious boost on nitro methane. You have to have some big stones to drive that thing.

As of now we are still a go for tomorrow. Rain is not due in until later in the day. Everyone should just check the post before leaving tomorrow to make sure nothing has changed. As of Thurs. evening pond was not that low ("no water") that boats can not be ran. I would suggest we hold off on the cooking though, but it is up to the masses.

haha, I knew it'd be messy, but it just seems excessive how the fuel tank is covered in oil!
Would adding something like a velocity stack or intake tube help keep the oil in the motor, and out of the boat?
Maybe something like this, minus the air filter?

You are the guru! I don't mean to abuse that! Thank you very much for all of your advice. the material of the tubing was what I was questioning (brass or something else) because it looks like the reason that little mess up happened was the following:

the shaft slipped out of the motor (I had greased up the shaft in the morning before I came to the pond and I obviously did not tighten the engine clasp properly ), but not out enough to stop spinning. I had just purchased a shaftsaver and installed it earlier (obviously in the wrong place) last week and it was preventing the shaft from exiting the motor entirely, and the shaft saver was spinning on the brass stuffing and eating away at it, until it hit the t mount holder plied through it and then you in my luck heard the strange sound and instructed me to pull her in.

The first couple of plugs just had the wire broken. I richened it up a couple of clicks and on the last run, the element was a molten ball in the top of the plug.

Another question I had. The carb seems to always have fuel spraying out of it and onto the tank, etc. Even the GoPro camera was covered in oil mist! Is that normal, and is there any way to stop it or slow it down? After each run, there was a bit of oil in the bilge of the boat as well. Makes for a mess!

marko. you can go to K&S METAL and order the 5/16th brass tubeing in three foot lengths, that is used for the stuffing box. or go to cc raceing, should have it to.

you will need a small piece of 3/8 brass and a small piece of 11 /32 and a long piece of 5/ 16 T bars have three eighths holes in them so you have to stack the two on the five sixteenths and solder them in place so the t-bar will grab them talk to text give me a break

Thanks! The RPMs didn't seem to be as high as it was last time. I did install a x447 prop, but that didn't seem to make a difference. I also kept burning up glow plugs!
Other than that, I still had a lot of fun!
